My story

In 2018, I was diagnosed with NET Cancer, but in 2019 I came alive and started my journey to help others like me. Since then it has been my mission to bring awareness to this condition. Neuroendocrine Tumor cancer (NET) is a disease many have never heard of before. There is very little knowledge of how it is formed, and many are unaware of its symptoms and how it affects the body. Because of this, there is little understanding of how to treat NET and currently there is no cure.
Through various life experiences, I have developed a strong desire to inspire and help others in their struggles. Because of my diagnosis in 2018, and my knowledge of the difficulties of learning to live with NET, my desire is to give back to others who are struggling with the same disease.
My role as a loving grandmother of two young granddaughters and my experiences with my oldest grandson has given me the desire to be an example and to help young girls, young boys and teenagers. And because I have experienced being a struggling teenage mother, I desire to teach young mothers to know who they are and to love themselves and to know their worth and that God loves them no matter what. Having been through a divorce and struggling with low self-esteem, I long to encourage women who find themselves in similar circumstances and also to speak to men on how to love and be loved.

My vision is to support others who are dealing with the financial, spiritual, mental, and physical burden of NETs, and life's every day struggles, and inspire them to live, love, and enjoy life to the fullest while living with the disease.
